So often when we are looking at properties we see homes we would love to live in but have all seen the disasters happening to home owners when a house turns out to be caught in the “Leaky Home Syndrome”. Make sure that you take the precaution of having a full Pre-Purchase Inspection done on any house that you are contemplating buying, as once the deal is finalised it is too late, so add a builders report clause into a contract before your buy! After all you wouldn’t buy a car without taking it for a test drive or having it checked out by a mechanic so why take the chance with such a substantial purchase like your new home or investment property. We offer same day reports and on-site consultations so you have all the information when you need it and have it explained to you in terms that you can understand.

The Process

ABC’s comprehensive and in-depth inspection process based on the NZ Standards covers internal and external inspection, the roof, subfloor and internal roof space. With our state of the art equipment we can accurately record moisture levels without causing damage. A consultation completes the process along with your written report which is printed on-site. On request we will obtain a full L.I.R. (Land Information Report) to check the council plans against what is actually built on site. These LIR’s are now widely accepted by solicitors throughout the Bay of Plenty as an alternative to a L.I.M. report.

Advanced Building Consultants are a locally based private inspection company, owned and operated by Trade Qualified Personnel with over 35 years experience in the Building and Construction Industry.
• Our ABC inspector is a NZ Registered Qualified Tradesperson (NZRQT).
• Registered Member of the Building Officials Institute of New Zealand.
• ABC has Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance.

Advanced Building Consultants do not profit from finding faults, we are totally independent. All reports are in written form and supplied by email if required. The report is confidential to the client, however a copy can be supplied to a solicitor or a financial institution at your request.
